GUN OWNERS PROTEST HATE PROPAGANDA

The Western Missouri Shooter’s Alliance will celebrate Newspaper Week (8-14 October) with a demonstration against the perversion of journalistic principles by the Kansas City Star newspaper.  On 11 October, 2001, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 18th & Grand, Kansas City, Missouri, WMSA will lead a protest against the Star.  “The Star has routinely twisted information and misinformed its readers regarding firearms issues and censored news favorable to gun owners”, said WMSA spokesman Kevin L. Jamison.

“Particularly offensive”, said Mr. Jamison, “is the Star’s constant use of cartoons portraying gun owners as inbred, white-trash, Neanderthal, psychopathic killers.  This policy supports the recent “Brady Policy Center” (Handgun Control Inc) cartoon portraying NRA President Charlton Heston as an airplane hijacker.  Newspaper Week celebrates information not hate propaganda.”

We shall overcome.
