| Apparently Sheriff Tom Phillips not only does not know/understand
the law, he has also decided that the Honorable Gregory B. Gillis, the
judge who found in favor of Gary Davis, is just a minor matter and can
be ignored. It seems Sheriff Tom has decided that the judgment in the
lawsuit applies only to Gary & Mr. Owen. So the Sheriff's Department is
still recommending other qualified instructors commit perjury on their
CCW applications by signing off for each other. This is NOT the way to
go. If you are a NRA certified Firearms instructor or a Personal
Protection Instructor in Jackson County and are being denied a CCW
endorsement please contact Kevin Jamison and let him know. Sheriffs are
