Anti-Gun Illinois Senator Richard Durbin supports Sullivan for ATF Director

February 9, 2008
We now have another anti-gun Senator coming out in support of Acting ATF Director Michael J. Sullivan for Director. Illinois Senator Richard Durbin, who has an F Rating from the NRA and GOA, joins fellow gun grabbers Ted Kennedy and John Kerry in support for "Maximum Mike" Sullivan.

Dear ____;

Thank you for contacting me about the nomination of Michael Sullivan to be the Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF). I appreciate hearing from you.

I support the nomination of Mr. Sullivan, who is currently Acting Director of ATF. He has demonstrated a commitment to helping law enforcement agencies enforce the law.

I will continue to work with ATF, as well as state and local law enforcement agencies, to help protect our communities from gun violence. I also will continue to monitor the ATF and Mr. Sullivan's work closely as they carry out their important mission.
Thank you again for your message.

Please feel free to keep in touch.

Sincerely,

Richard J. Durbin

United States Senator

RJD/tf

Sullivan, who was recently a key note speaker at one of the largest gatherings of gun control organizations, has continued the ATF agenda of shutting down the firearms industry.
