Anti-Gunners joining forces with a clear agenda |
| January 31, 2008 |
| Gun Control organizations, The Brady Campaign and IACP are now joined by F-Rated Senators
Robert Menendez (D-NJ), Diane Feinstein (D-CA), Edward Kennedy (D-MA),
John Kerry (D-MA), Charles Schumer (D-NY), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI),
Daniel Inouye (D-HI), Carl Levin (D-MI), Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Jack
Reed (D-RI) and Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ) to attempt to close the so called Gun Show loophole. Acting ATF Director Michael J. Sullivan said President Bush has indicated he would support a measure in Congress to close that loophole However at the largest gathering of Anti-Gun organizations, in which Sullivan was the key note speaker, they clearly laid out their plans: 9. Congress, as well as state, local and tribal governments, should enact laws requiring that all gun sales and transfers proceed through a Federal Firearms License (FFL), thus ensuring that a mandatory background check will be conducted on the transferee. It goes on to describe the "Unregulated Secondary Market": This unregulated secondary market includes private sales, classified ads, flea markets, Internet sales and gun shows. They state that they are trying to get all guns sales through Federal Firearms License Dealers, while their fellow Anti-Gun Acting ATF Director Michael J. Sullivan and the BATFE is closing down these dealers. This is a frightening reality, Sullivan has displayed his anti-gun agenda and he needs to be opposed as Director. "Maximum Mike" realizes that he will not be confirmed to Director of the BATFE with the current holds on his confirmation, so he is orchestrating an all out assault on the Second Amendment. |
