Intruder Shot At Northland Apartment

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police said an intruder was shot during an attempted break-in at a Northland apartment complex early Monday morning.Officers were called to the Wild Oaks complex at Highway 152 and Flintlock Road shortly before 3 a.m.

Police said a man was trying to break into an apartment when the woman inside grabbed her gun and fired at the intruder through the door.The man pulled out his own gun and fired back.The intruder was hit twice and was taken to a hospital. He is expected to recover.The woman was not injured.
