Gun rally

I want to commend The Star for finally covering the gun rights rally held each year in Jefferson City (4/18, Metropolitan, "200 rally in capital for concealed guns"). The Star has failed to do so in every other year that I've been involved with this event, even when attendance reached 600.

My hat is off to reporter Kit Wagar. I'm hoping we can look forward to more of this type of reporting (objective, honest, etc.).

Also, for Gov. Holden, I have to say that I am not surprised. The Democrats have always preached compassion, but I've yet to see them exercise it. If they wish to hold onto the governor's seat -- or a majority anywhere -- they should change their stance on gun rights immediately.

The people of Missouri (even those living in St. Louis and Kansas City) will not close their eyes and ears to the heart-wrenching stories of victimhood forever. They will eventually recognize the police services for what they are and begin to take responsibility for their own lives.

My suggestion to Gov. Holden is to realize the same and direct his party to do so while they still have a chance.

(as submitted to the Star)

I want to commend the Star for finally covering the gun rights rally held each year in Jefferson City. The Star has failed to do so in every other year that I've been involved with this event, even when attendance reached 600 (choosing to cover used shoes instead).

My hat is off to Mr. Wagar, also, for writing what can be considered one of the most "balanced" articles, on the gun issue, ever published in the pages of the Star. I'm hoping we can look forward to more of this type of reporting (objective,
honest, etc.).

Also, for Gov. Holden, I have to say that I am not surprised. The Democrats have always preached compassion but I've yet to see them exercise it. If they wish to hold onto the governor's seat - or a majority anywhere - they should change their stance on gun rights immediately.

As said at the rally, no more excuses, PASS THIS BILL NOW! Until then, the Democratic Party has blood on its hands.

Thank You,
