Topic starting 1 July 2004. It's Summer. How am I going to hide this thing?
SO the way we hide it is in a Smartcarry holster. I have worn one daily for over two months and would not change to any other carry system! If you like to tuck in your shirt, and don't want to wear a jacket or vest, this is the ticket. Very comfortable to carry from morning to night.

I won't go on a long as I did on the vest question because I've already expounded on the WMSA message board about it sometime ago.  I like the CP3 Smart Carry.  Works under a pair of jersey gym shorts or Bermudas with a compact .45 or 9mm or small .38 just great for me.  Comfortable, can be worn all day and now that it has a protective Gortex shield, perspiration on the firearm is much less of an issue.  Not the quickest access in the west but very well concealed when wearing minimum casual clothing.  If you read the reviews on Charlie's web site, http://smartcarry.com/,  you'll see that I'm not alone in my opinion.
Got my non-driver state ID with CCW endorsement today.  Now with BOTH Florida and Missouri plastic in my Smart Carry aux pouch, I'm "good to go" all summer long.  Have a great Independence Day weekend and remember what was sacrificed so that we can.  Be safe, be happy, be ready, be armed.

I normally wear a "gun, gun, gun" fanny pack with my semi dress clothes. If I am the only one at work (much of the summer) then I wear either large pocket "cargo" shorts or slacks with my Kimber UC II in a pocket holster. Works fine for me, as I can take the weapon out in the office and put it on my computer case right under the desk and CLOSE to my right hand.

Being frugal, I found that an old pair of button up blue jeans that is still the proper size and mostly worn out on the legs works quite well for a free deep conceal holster.  Concept is quite like that of Smartcarry.  Just cut the waist band off, cut back to the rear pockets and cut around one (the best one) of the rear pockets.  Carefully place your empty firearm in the pocket, position the firearm in the direction you prefer and using a grease pencil, trace around the outline on the material.  Make sure the trigger will be well covered by the material & then stitch the tracing well.  To wear, place the jeans band and the one pocket (holster) on backwards.  Works fine, it's not bulky & it's the right size to fit you well and it's really quite rugged. During the heat and humidity of summer, when doing physical work I'd rather perspiration soak this easily washed "holster" than subjecting a good one to the soaking every day.  I've worn it under jeans and a tucked in "T" shirt for quite some time and found it to be secure and pretty comfortable when doing those summer time outdoor chores.  If the band (holster) does show above your jeans, it's not very noticeable because the color and material type matches.

I have come to prefer carrying OWB in a Fobus Paddle holster and wearing an
untucked shirt that is open to the least button. By buttoning the bottom button
the shirt stays down in the wind and closed enough to keep my gun concealed.
This has worked well enough to allow me to carry a full size Sig P220 around Law
Enforcement Officers, and several liberal people. None of which knew I was armed
until they asked later. It isn't the greatest for formal occassions but for 90%
of my time it works great, and keeps my weapon easily accessible.

Well, from the last topic, I decided to try a vest, and for summer, I am having really good luck with it. I just wear a cute tank top under it, and the vests I'm using don't scream "gun" I've been told by reliable sources. I can carry either in the special pockets in the vest, or in a holster on my belt. But this is working really well for my .40 cal Taurus. So far it is the ONLY way I've found I can carry it concealed, and for summer, sleeveless is great.

I am using the hot weather vest made by Concealed Carry Outfitters. I had
one made in the tall version as I have a long torso. The vest doesn't scream
gun, gun when I wear it which is every day and it covers anything from my
full size M1911 to my Kel-Tec P-11 in OWB holsters.
