Subject: Supporting CCW in Kansas

I'm asking for your help in supporting CCW in Kansas. The Kansas Sportsmen's Alliance (KSA) has worked for ten years to get this bill passed once (and vetoed) and the Range Protection Act passed, which helps prevent cities from closing ranges due to noise and nuisance complaints.

KSA is having a fundraiser this Saturday night, and really needs your attendance - dinner, auction of firearms and other items of interest, live music and a talk by NRA Executive VP Wayne LaPierre, plus the Second VP, too. If you can't make it, please send a donation to help KSA  keep our lobbyist in Topeka. 100 % of your donation will go to good work, nobody gets paid a dime on KSA board and we have no employees beyond our lobbyist.

If you can make the Saturday dinner and talk, please contact Gerald Neely at 913-888-0567 ASAP, as we need the head count for dinners. If you can't attend, please consider a donation. The dinner package is $50, but if you can donate $35, we can keep up the pressure on the new Kansas CCW which KSA has already changed for the better. We are working with the sponsors and will make sure that it is as good a bill as is possible. If you have any friends that might like to hear from the NRA about their efforts for CCW is  Kansas this year, and enjoy a dinner while helping KSA - please have them call  Mr. Neely.

We have a veto proof majority in the House and a majority in the Senate. We will be fighting determined anti-gunners who will try to keep the bill from a vote in the Senate. We have the votes to pass it in the Senate, and are close to a veto proof Senate support. There is an outside chance that we could convice the Governor to let it become law without her signature, but don't hold your breath. In any case, we need to keep the issue alive, and in front of the public, plus hold the Governor's and our legislator's feet to the fire in an election year ( for the KS House and some KS Senators).

Please support KSA, and we'll have Kansas be the next "shall issue" state.

Thanks.

Bill Freeman

Please forward this to any Kansas CCW supporters that you know.
